(1) AT 041800Z, TROPICAL CYCLONE 36W (PABUK) WAS LOCATED NEAR
8.6N 98.9E, APPROXIMATELY 53 NM NORTHEAST OF PHUKET, THAILAND, AND
HAD TRACKED WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 08 KNOTS OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 40 KNOTS GUSTING
