For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:
Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Polo, located southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Hurricane
Odalys, located well west of the southern tip of Baja California,
and on Hurricane Nolo, located south-southwest of the Big Island of
Hawaii, and newly formed Tropical Depression Eighteen-E, located
several hundred miles southwest of the Acapulco, Mexico.
Well East-Southeast of the Hawaiian Islands:
Showers and thunderstorms continue to develop around a broad area of
low pressure, currently located well east-southeast of the Hawaiian
Islands. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for
further development, and a tropical depression is likely to form in
the next several days. The system is expected to move generally
northeastward, and remain well east-southeast of the Hawaiian
Islands.
