Tropical Storm Warnings cancelled for the Florida Keys

NEW INFORMATION

SITUATION OVERVIEW

NOAA Doppler radar imagery indicates that the eye of Ian made
landfall along the southwestern coast of Florida near Cayo Costa
around 305 PM EDT. Data from an Air Force Reserve reconnaissance
aircraft indicate that Ian's maximum sustained winds were estimated to
be near 150 mph. The latest minimum central pressure estimated from
reconnaissance data is 940 mb.

Winds have fallen below tropical storm force across the Florida Keys.
Warnings are cancelled. Periodic rain squalls will persist through the
night, with occasional wind gusts to 40 mph.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

Coastal flooding will persist tonight for the Florida Keys. See our
